Sharon Chen, DMD, Ph.D

Dr. Sharon Chen is a general dentist. She graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Harvard University, School of Dental Medicine in 1996. Prior to attending Harvard, Dr. Chen was a post-doctoral research fellow in microbiology and immunology at Boston Children's Hospital. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology from the University of California, San Francisco. After graduation, Dr. Chen worked in a South Shore dental office as the chief general dentist before starting her own practice in Framingham.

Dr. Chen prides herself in being a true family dental care provider and enjoys working with patients of all ages - from children, to adults, to senior citizens. She often tells her patients that a trip to our office does not have to be a painful experience. Many of them are pleasantly surprised by her gentle hands, painless treatment, and caring demeanor.

Not only is Dr. Chen a gentle dentist, she is a versatile one as well. She is experienced in treating a wide range of oral diseases and regularly attends continuing education courses to update herself on the latest techniques and dental technologies. Dr. Chen provides restorative treatment to repair damaged teeth, as well as cosmetic treatment to give patients beautiful smiles. She can perform root-canal treatments with skill and efficiency and is specially trained in placing dental implants. Additionally, Dr. Chen is a certified provider of Invisalign, a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Association, and a fellow of the American Dental Implant Association.
